In 2001, this Ha Tay guy brought his dream of becoming a tour guide to take the important exam with his mother's words: "The university entrance exam, said the family is not enough Take care of your children to study here. "From here, he stepped into the path of career with" occupational touch ", in his funny way of doing what he is doing to pursue his dream of starting a business.
More than 10 years later, from the baggage are two empty hands and two career in the land of the countryside, Dinh Quang Minh (31 years) is one of the first successful with vending machine business model in Da Nang.
"Men must rely on themselves"
After the college entrance exam, Minh began his work as a workshop attendant. Work is too hard, daily contact with saw dust, carrying timber for construction work, nearly 1 month after his quit and returned to Hanoi to attend computer and computer training at the company Encyclopedia of Hanoi University of Technology. Reflecting on this stage, Minh said, "It was a long time trying not to get tired of running away from the carpentry work to earn money from the most fashionable industry at the time." No one knows anything about computers so everything related to it like installing software, installing drivers can be a waste of money.
Studying at school is not enough, Minh also applied for a job as a computer sales company business on the street Ly Nam De. These practical experiences help him a lot in the vocational classes. After graduation, he was retained as a full time employee with a starting salary of VND10,000 / day.
In addition to learning about computers, young men also work part-time to participate in everything they like, from securities, programmers, network administrators to import-export operations. The things he learned are derived from personal interests and do not know that they will help the path of starting a business later.
In 2008, one day after graduating from the University of Commerce, Dinh Quang Minh made his way to Saigon to make a living with a little capital and luck to be a network administrator for a magazine. Later, when we noticed that the advertising business in the magazine had many potential, Minh would move to be a salesman.
Four years later, when the advertising market down, Minh decided to leave the establishment of the company specializing in vending machine business, the starting line of the guy 8x started from here. Before setting foot in Da Nang, Minh decided to make a trip across Vietnam by motorcycle that his words to "mourning fun".
In the midst of the age, young people are anxious to find answers to the questions "Why," "Who am I", ... without daring to commit to fulfilling his dream, can see this guy 8x is dare to think, dare to dream and dare to do. When asked about the best of intentions, he shared a brief philosophical sentence over the years: "Man must depend on himself."
Choose the way nobody has gone
When asked why this business model was chosen, Minh said enthusiastically: "According to research data, in 2012, Japan has 5.5 million servers for 100 million people while in Vietnam. only a few dozen to serve 90 million people so the prospects for developing this market is very large. In the past, some big companies have put vending machines in Vietnam. However, according to him, these machines are aimed at introducing and promoting the image of the company so the product is not diversified, the location of the machine is usually on the premises, not convenient for people to go. Consumers also encounter inconvenient issues such as not returning excess money or use a card issued by a third party to pay when buying the product.
He added that abroad, the machine could sell many things like food, books, pizza and baking directly rather than selling beverages as in Vietnam. On the other hand, in the coming time, Vietnam will develop modern transportation systems such as metro and urban railway, vending machines are the optimal solution to meet the needs of consumers.
From here, Dinh Quang Minh came up with the idea of bringing vending machines to the street, selling cheap and convenient to fit the majority of people.
Believing in the potential of the business, in mid-2012, Minh decided to import a machine to Vietnam and bring it into the laboratory. The machine was unleashed to study, until the assembly again no longer work. In turn, he has mastered all the basic knowledge, principles of operation, how to overcome the problem by fact rather than just study on
